It must be able to demonstrate that the location tracking and sending works reliably in both foreground and background mode. It needs to just be a general proof of concept that works on both Android and iOS, so as long as it fills the brief the details are not essential. The tasks must be stopped by another button press. I require a small React Native Expo mobile app, written in Visual Studio Code ideally, that can run a foreground and background task (when started by button press) that gets the user's location and sends those coordinates to an API endpoint.
